Focusing on his art and uniquely creative life, Shulman’s images are off-set by in-depth interviews with architect Frank Gehry, designer Tom Ford, artisit Ed Ruscha, actress Kelly Lynch, writer Mitch Glazer, publisher Benedikt Taschen, Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Dante Spinotti and a host of others. Shulman’s influential documentation helped shape the careers of some of the greatest architects of the 20th Century including Richard Neutra, Rudolph Schindler, Pierre Koenig, John Lauthner and many others. A champion of modernism who fostered young architects, Visual Acoustics offers an unforgettable portrait of this uniquely gifted artist who was active right up until his death last year at the age of 97.
